We dispatch all orders placed before 3pm on the same business day and ship New Zealand-wide via NZ Couriers. Below you will find our delivery options, store pickup details, and returns policy. New Zealand Delivery

Courier Delivery — New Zealand Wide

We use NZ Couriers for all New Zealand deliveries. Shipping is free on orders of $85 or over — otherwise a flat rate of $8.90 applies. All orders placed before 3pm on a business day are dispatched the same day. Once dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number so you can follow your parcel on the NZ Couriers website.

No PO Box deliveries. Due to the significant increase in courier costs for PO Box deliveries, we are no longer able to ship to PO Boxes. Please provide a physical street address at checkout. If you live in an area serviced only by NZ Post, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Undelivered Parcels

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier will leave a card with instructions for collection or redelivery. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact you to arrange redelivery — additional shipping charges may apply. Please ensure your delivery address is accurate at the time of ordering.

If your order has not arrived within two business days of the expected delivery window, please contact us at orders@tleaft.co.nz, call 0800 853 238 or +64 4 589 0085 with your order number. Claims for non-delivery cannot be accepted more than 30 days after the date of order.

Free store pickup is available at both our Wellington CBD retail store and our Lower Hutt warehouse in Petone. Select your preferred pickup location directly from the checkout page.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

We take pride in the quality of everything we send out. If something is not right, please get in touch and we will sort it out.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please email us at orders@tleaft.co.nz as soon as possible with your order details. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Change of Mind

We are happy to accept returns for change of mind on unopened, undamaged items. The cost of returning goods to us is the customer's responsibility. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will arrange an exchange or refund. We will cover the cost of sending any replacement back to you.

Please contact us before sending anything back so we can confirm the return and ensure it is processed smoothly.

International Shipping

We ship to a range of countries worldwide. International orders are shipped tax-free, saving 15% off listed prices, and leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. For Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, you can choose between NZ Post International or DHL Express at checkout. International shipping charges are non-refundable.

Note: Shipping to the United States is temporarily suspended. As of September 2025, we have paused US shipping due to changing complexities around delivery and costs. We will update this page when US shipping resumes.

NZ Post International orders are not tracked. DHL Express orders are tracked. Delivery estimates are based on experience and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs inspection, border processes, or carrier capacity — these are outside our control.

Holiday period notice: During the Christmas and holiday period (1 November to 15 January) delivery times may increase due to carrier delays beyond our control. Please allow additional time when ordering during this period.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country. These charges are the customer's responsibility and are not included in our shipping rates. We recommend checking your local customs requirements before ordering.

Country Border Controls for Tea Products

Importation rules vary by country and we cannot guarantee that all teas and infusions will be permitted entry at every border. If an imported tea does not meet border requirements, it may be heat-treated at the importer's expense or destroyed. We cannot accept responsibility for delays or issues that occur after an order has left our facility.

Australian customers: Australian biosecurity restrictions mean that teas or infusions containing seeds, nuts, fruits, citrus pieces, or flowers may be detained by Australian Customs and are purchased at your own risk. We do not recommend ordering herbal infusions or teas containing these ingredients for delivery to Australia. Please check current Australian biosecurity guidelines before placing your order.

Can I pick up my order in store?

Are international shipping charges refundable?

International shipping charges are non-refundable. If you have a concern about an international order, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the situation fairly.

Importation rules vary by country. Australian customers should be aware that teas containing seeds, nuts, fruits, citrus pieces, or flowers may be detained at the border. If a tea does not meet a destination country's requirements, it may be subject to heat treatment at the importer's expense or destroyed.
